Redwood Shores Levee Cleanup

Thank you to everybody who came out to this event on the 24th! RSCA appreciates all the effort you all put into helping keep our community and environment clean, and encourage those who missed it to pin this August event on the calendar for next year, as well as to look out for similar clean-up and conservation events across San Mateo County to volunteer your time to. 

At the end of each August, your Redwood Shores Community Association has sponsored our Annual Levee Cleanup. To benefit the environment, the community bonds together to help beautify the nearly seven miles (yes, 7 miles!) of levee surrounding the Shores. And we need all the help we can get to cover those seven miles.

Date: Saturday, August 24
Time: 8:00 am until noon
Place: Mariner Park, Redwood Shores, CA 94065

Return between 10:30-11:30 to relax and meet with neighbors

RWS Alert: Construction Again on Shores Roadways

This is a notification to Redwood Shores residents that major roadways through the Shores will be affected by an ongoing construction project.

  • UPDATE AUGUST 16: Redwood Shores Parkway will be under construction between Twin Dolphin Drive and Bridge Parkway over the next two weeks. Portions of one lane along the two-lane road will be closed mornings and afternoons; traffic will be slowed but not diverted during this process.

Sounds of the Shores 2024

Hosted by RSCA, the Sounds of the Shores summer concert series takes place once a month throughout the summer on Sunday afternoons for three great nights in Marlin Park.

Redwood LIFE Project July Update

Proposals for the Redwood LIFE office complex campus in Redwood Shores continue to develop, and the City of Redwood City and the project management team at Longfellow are continuing to gain insight from the community for this project. If you would like to voice your opinions on the project, there are two opportunities to provide feedback.

The Community Survey for the Redwood Life Precise Plan and EIR has extended its closure date to August 30th. This is the easiest and most direct way to provide feedback online about the project and draft development principles. Simply click the link above and follow the process through to submit your thoughts (in text and in topical checkboxes, whichever you feel most comfortable providing in the anonymous survey form) on issues and benefits of the proposal.

Additionally, an additional Community Workshop has been scheduled for in-person discussion about the project.

RWS Alert: Construction to Affect Shores Roadways

This is a notification to Redwood Shores residents that major roadways through the Shores will be affected an ongoing construction project.

RSCA has been communicating with the construction team and will be providing regular updates on which roadways will be affected so that you can make plans to avoid or deal with traffic as need be.

  • UPDATE AUGUST 8: No further construction is planned at this time. Initial exploratory construction has completed, and the full extent of the project is not on the schedule currently.

Redwood Life Precise Plan Meeting

The City of Redwood City has shared with RSCA the following invitation for an upcoming meeting on the Redwood Life Precise Plan. Many Shores residents have asked RSCA about this project, and we encourage residents to attend this meeting in May to listen to proposals and provide feedback on the new plans in consideration for this area.
